Upcoming Server Merge - we will be Naga

On February 10th, gPotato will be merging:
Salamander will marry Yeti and become NAGA.

Please read the following carefully.

Character Name:
Salamander – All character names will have _001 added to the end.

Every player will be allowed to change their name once after the merge.
/change_name [new name]
/change_name ChickenOnSpeed

There is no time limit to change the character name.

Total Characters:
After the server merge, only 6 characters will be allowed per server.
If an account will have 6 characters in the destination server, the extra
characters will be deleted. The system will automatically keep your 6
highest level characters. After the merge, recovery of deleted characters
will be impossible.

Guild Name:
Changes to guild names will be similar to character names.

Additional Information:
Friend lists will not be deleted after the merge.
All guilds will lose ownership of dungeons.
Dungeons will be available for time attack and siege as usual.
Players will retain all items; warehouses will be combined.

Whoever is fasted can save himself every name he adores -
and we lose our original identity. *throws up*

This makes me call in sick at Tuesday, 10 Feb -
wait for maintenance to be over and change names immideately to keep my precious one.

well i THINK they just let you remove the _00x numbers from your name... at least that would make sence -.-

It makes sense to be able to rename it -
but we won't be able to just kill the _01 ending.

Imagine a Shortbread from Sally = Shortbread_01 and
Shortbread from Yeti = Shortbread_02 only were able to kill the number.

You can't have two Shortbreads, so whoeevr is faster gets Shortbread -
and the other one has to try a new name by try and error.

seems like im the only one who likes this idea. After having gone through months last year of people leaving rappelz, then a move like this will bring all the dedicated people who still play together in one server.
I'm also happy about the name change. Believe it or not, I never intended to call myself Brendo. But with the opportunity to change my name im not sure if i will take that opportunity or not.

i love the merge, its the best thing can happen. more dps makes more ppl having fun bringing more ppl back to playing etc etc

It's a two sided coin stefan.

On the one hand more players, more active parties, more action, more fun.

On the other hand they announced that the new Epic part will change lvls of mobs.
When ToA mobs will be 145+ everyone will want to go to Sanct. Sanct already is
crowded. I see some pk wars above spots coming. To be honest I don't want to fight
above a dungeon spot for hours, to maybe dp.

On the one hand their economy isn't so different than ours, pretty similar prices.
On the other hand we still have no diea how it will end up.

I don't want to call in sick just to be one of the first at server to save my names.
If they dont change their plans soon I fear I have to do so.

Already started writing a list in case my names are taken by some retard,
it's a short one, cos since I love my old ones I have a blockade. :/

well toothy... i think u shd protest to rappelz - its really unfair to get that hv taken away when you paid in full for it. i'd b outraged if i had hv too

i'd even call it a scam - taking away something that was rightfully yours (also, its a cs "item"/buff). (i trust rappelz wouldnt wanna discourage their cs buyers)

i'm quite sure there are others that have bought that much hv like u. if raised a boycott, im confident ppl will join in and rappelz will eventually have to restore the hvs to the ppl who bought em .

(dun 4get about pictures including buff timer and date in case they want proof of how much hv u had left b4 merge).

i, too, dont really like the name changing thing or the merge either. if anyone remembers where the name "crashmander" came from, i'd think its apparent that if one of our servers r having a good number of tech probs, squishing ~2 times the population on a server wouldnt help any bit more...

and, i got a lot of characters with nice names like u, toothy. i'd rly hate to have som1 steal my names x.x. it seems just like rappelz's lazy way of taking care of these things sadly :s... i'd rather them just hand out character name changes

but, least the bright side is that now i can change my wretched tank's and sb's names (they rly r quite gay) (thetiddilator and gotmenergy) (terrible name-creation skills i had, 21 months ago) lol.

And finally, i can rename my healer and play it again!

But yeah, to the ones that enjoy a lot their names, they should get Feb 10th to stay at home
