T-Protect Powder Coming Soon

Hi folks,

I know this has been a hot topic of debate on the forums, so now that we have the details mostly nailed down we wanted to share with you what is happening with the rumored "T-Pro" item.

First of all, please be aware that the details are not set in stone and are subject to change. This is our current plan.

T-Protect Powder will be available in the Item Shop soon. We estimate that it will be released some time in November. This item will allow you to attempt to tame a creature without the risk of losing your empty creature card if the attempt fails. The T-Protect will be consumed regardless of whether your taming attempt succeeds or fails. We currently plan for the price of T-Protects to be 1,200 gPotatoes each. Again, please keep in mind that this could change between now and when we release it.

Hopefully this will clear up a lot of the rumors and speculation regarding this item. If you have any questions regarding T-Protect Powder or simply want to discuss it with your fellow players, please use this thread. Thanks!

My response to all of the whining about the new T-Pro's =

Meh im not leaving. I will just keep playing and waiting for all of the pets to come down in price. I think its a good thing I have been saving up my rupees. "WTB fresh Angel/White Dragon offering 200M"

hmmm but if we see the matter under business point of view... empty pet cards maybe will fail in a rate higher than they fail now... dunno if im being uber optimistic, but maybe statiscally talking, refering about hawks/salas/angel/kent/ and yada yada yada, will keep the same proportions of rareness/effort (that now will be replaced for wallet capacity)

and pand... =( thinking that yetis, orcs & bps are already in achievement store, really sounds very logical tamed hawks, harpies and sallys would be in CS one of these days xD, and that day sexy sod will quit =P

That's rediculous. Non-CS users can upgrade their equipment with E-Pros, right? How is this any different. If anything it makes taming a rare pet MORE affordable for non CS users, because they are using an item that is priced the same as an E-Rep. So instead of 100m per attempt, they can get their card (by farming) and then try their tame in 30m-40m bits until it works.

AND, consider this. What happened when they introduced hawks and salas? It made Orcs and Skeletons and BPs easier to get for everyone, especially new players. What happened when they made Kentas and Angels? It made Hawks and Salas easier to get for everyone. Who does that help? Beginning players and non CS users.

Now it's guaranteed that when Kentas aren't so rare any more, people will covet the Genies and Nagas and Dragons and Cerbs, etc. and say "Why is it that only the CS users get a dragon?!" But that's just how it is. If something is common people say "That's no good." That's silly logic. Since when was your game unplayable with +8 gear and common pets?

least we can say that the money should help their crappy server tech now... and hopefully get some better (humane and Logical) ppl in the customer support division...

now with these t-pros, i really dont see the point in tier 1 or tier 2 pets anymore... they just seem to be "collect but no use" pets, while tier 3 and 4 will be used like we're using tier 2 and tier 3 pets now =/

but no matter how common my harpy is gonna become, it'll always be my favorite farming companion ^^

the end of the classic rappelz of where rare pets find themselves in ownership of only the most skilled, experienced, and devoted players of rappelz is imminent. the new era of newbies with tier 3 and tier 4 pets (great example: Saaya, an r4 healer with an angel and an extremely poor grasp of the principles of healing and aggro) begins within a month! gong he fa choi, rappelz! another epic fail! those poor angels and kentas that i coveted so much are soon to be openly abused by inexperienced players!

heh i dont see a kenta or an angel dying very often; thats because they are (usually) in the control of ppl who know what they are doing.

as for the future, i better adapt my ears to the screaming of dying angels =/

Well for me this wont change anything since i cant get my ruppe amount past 5m xD so i still wont use those t-pros, but i think it will make rarer pets more easier to get, even for nubs who dont know what they are doing but have money for cs, and that saddens me a bit, or maybe its just jealousy lol idk.

i think it's jealousy (at least for me xD) that a newbie can come wandering into rappelz, pick up a well-sought rare pet, still fumbling over their hotkeys like a toddler, and think they're cool just because they've got a rare pet. and i think its the regret that gets to ppl who have failed so many empties the traditional way, and then finding out that they could have saved more than half the money they spent on those cards. (i'm one of those ppl x/..)

but also at a more unbiased and technical look at it, i think t-pros are going to ruin the game. i dont have a angel/kenta, and i'd love to get one, but i'd rather not get any rare pet than find them running all over the place like our current hawks and salas. i think that rare pets are ment to be kept "rare". (*wants to ramble and complain more about t-pros, but has to go eat lunch*) =x

Doesn't seem like 24 T-Pros would be so much cheaper on CS... which is where most rare pet cards come from anyway, right?
