Sally Build for a BS ^^

Now that I have a new baby sally (THANK YOU PANDA I LOVE YOU!!!! ^___^), I had to run off and make yet another pet build to get your opinions on. My little sally is going to be my main DD pet on my sorc/wannabe BS, so this build is geared toward that. (No, I won't be using him on my SB~ I'm not about to pull out an evo1 pet in a R6 party, it's too embarrassing. x_x)



Blessing of Vitality is there to keep my baby from squishing too fast, but he's still only level 1 so I haven't yet experienced his squishiness first-hand (i.e. I'm not sure if OB Vit is needed or not). Any input from sally owners would be appreciated here. ^^

I wouldn't go with OB vit, it really doesn't do that much :/ as it is, the pdef passive is more than I would put on a pve dd pet, but that's personal preference. The way I see it, if the pet isn't supposed to grab aggro, why worry about the times it might when you'd be better off preventing it in the first place. Make sense?

You could level up the sally's stun skill instead of the ob vit, or you could get ob str instead.

sallys have 2 builds as far as i have read so far, i agree with yvain, no OB vit whats so ever how ever i spoke to my gf hu has a r5 BS on baha she has her Sally skilled as int/str build, she says it gets aggro but her hawk has threatning essence so the sally rarely dies, tbh chibi as creature respecs are cheap why not buy a few and find a build tht suits your style of play?

take clarity to level 5 as constant spamming maybe be issue if not int str build

lvl1 stun and then spend the other 15 points on health as the extra health may provide more defense than ob vit int he long run

MP shouldn't be an issue if you're not running a threat toggle on a BS. Shouldn't . . .

The extra health will actually provide more "defense", that I'm certain of.

do u gonna play sally in ur sb ?

if u gonna play it i will said my sally its 90, im 111 and he miss a lot and no usually get aggro he had bless of acurry lvl 5 and magic vision lvl 5 and keep missing a lot (armor and 2h mace got acurry / wisomd cozi dont waanna see it missimg) but any ways he miss

if u planing use it on your sin u prolly need ob vit and pdef

anyways a big GZ Sallys look so cool at evo 2 and evo 3 its fun see em running whit his fire toll behind u.


Gl skilling it or just trade it+full orc for something cool (r6 pet) or sally+Rp for higher sally/Rp

That's what I forgot . . . get 5 levels of the accuracy passive, it will do wonders .

i always get this passive. The M.Accuracy for the RedPixie is, imo, a must

Thank you guys, your posts were really helpful! ^_^ Just to clarify, I will be using my sally as a main pet on my sorc/BS~ I'm not planning to use him on my other chars, so he will pretty much be the same level as my sorc (not much higher or lower). Here's the new build I came up with after reading all of your advice:



I'm just worried that my sally will still pull too much aggro from this build though, because I'm planning to use an orc for my tank pet, and I dunno how well it'll hold aggro against a sally (that's a discussion for another thread, though). I suppose I could just cast Creature Stability on my sally after every summon, hopefully that takes care of the problem~ :3

I can't imagine that would be an issue for a BS, especially since you can stack the +threat toggle and the +threat buff on your orc.

With +threat on orc and -threat on sala, it should help, just be smart about when you use each pet's skills. If you hit all your orc skills then your sala skills, the orc should keep aggro.

But yeah, Salas are huge hitters. I love mine for that purpose. He performs so well. And it saves money on upgrading his weapon cuz if I go all out on his mace, he just gets in trouble!
